Workshop Delivery & Creative Engagement Education

'I was extremely impressed with Rose's smooth delivery and patience.  She is a gifted linguist with the magic spark to enthuse people with the love of her subject.'

Head of Art, Cathedral Academy, Wakefield

I have had the privilege of working in creative engagement programming with children, young people and adults (including educators) for over 20 years.

Workshop delivery venues include the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, hoot creative arts, The British Library, the SICK! Festival, The Hepworth Wakefield, the Bradford Literature Festival, fairandfunky, the Huddersfield Literature Festival, Kirklees Council's Learning Services, and Canada's Prairie Theatre Exchange.

'Rose has not only worked as a facilitator but also as an artist

inspiring our students in her performance work. Her feedback and support with our school performances has been invaluable to both the students and the teachers, really making a different to the quality of the work.'

As a visiting lecturer in the Drama Department at the University of Huddersfield, I worked with students to devise ensemble spoken word performances.  I taught first-year drama courses in the Department of Theatre and Film at the University of Winnipeg.  I have coordinated outreach and education programming for the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, and the Aboriginal Arts Training and Mentorship Programme at the Manitoba Theatre for Young People in Canada.

'Rose has a calm and sensitive manner and is able to relate extremely well to young people, staff and volunteers alike, having a warm and engaging personality which quickly breaks down any barriers.  In addition, she has an excellent understanding of diversity and the need for inclusion.'

Youth Support Worker, Rotherham Youth Services

I have worked on freelance creative projects with diverse groups in a range of settings:  leading drama sessions with Canada’s Youth Peacebuilding Project, delivering theatre training sessions with learning disabled actors at Mind the Gap Theatre, and facilitating creative writing sessions with Rotherham Youth Services.

'Brilliant!  Please come back soon Rose...your poetry is so touchable!'

I strive to run sessions where participants of all ages feel they have the confidence and capacity to contribute.  I hold an up to date Enhanced DBS check and have taken part in safeguarding training.
